Theeffectofdifferentimpactmodifieranditscontentonmechanicalproperties, dispersionmorphologyandmeltingandcrystallizationbehavioroftheblendswasinvestigated. ThemechanicalpropertytestingindicatesthatPOE-g-MAHandPPhavesignificantlysynergistictougheningeffectonPBT. Theimpactmodifier (POEg2) withPOE-g-MAH/PPratioof70/30hasthebesttougheningeffect. WhenPOEg2contentisupto15%, thenotchedimpactstrength (,.) Increasesfrom7.5kJ/m2forpurePBTto51.2kJ/m. whichisapproximatelyequaltothatfortheblendtoughenedby15% purePOE-g-MAH, andthelossoftensilestrength () oftheblendistheleast.
