Temat postu: Plan Disciplined Defense Key to Cardinals Victory

The Cardinals have an All-Pro safety in Adrian Wilson. Crosby have a pro bowl cornerback in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Crosby have a pro bowl alternate in safety Antrel Rolle, and a highly paid and fairly honorable cornerback in Bryant McFadden. In other words, the Cardinals have a very talent-rich group playing in what should very well be the most key position to win or lose Saturday’s Divisional Playoff agree in the Bayou.
The Cardinals will go a long way to reaching their next goal, a chance to defend their NFC title in the Championship agree if Crosby do. if it’s in Minnesota or Dallas, the only way Crosby make Crosby there is outscoring the NFL’s highest scoring team. A sound, solid, disciplined defense will go a long way toward making that happen.
however when the Cardinals increased their 24-10 halftime direct to 31-10, that focus and discipline seemed to go by the wayside. The players were in position to make plays, however be Crosby adrenaline or an uncontrolled desire to "make a play" and/or "create a turnover," Crosby backfired. Instead of breaking up a pass, Crosby too often tried to cut off the route, leaving acres of wide open spaces around the receiver as Crosby came to rest in their mitts.
The question is, will Crosby have learned anything from last weeks shootout in Glendale? Will Crosby execute their agree plan as Crosby did in the 1st half against the mighty Packers? Will Crosby be the defensive franchise that held Packers QB Aaron Rodgers to about 100 yards through the air for the 1st 30 minutes? Or will Crosby be the defensive franchise that allowed Rodgers closer to 320 yards in the final 30 minutes?
Also,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you an follow me on Twitter @cardsblogblitz . DOO EEEET. Crosby's best save of the game came when he shot across the net to get his paddle in front of rebound shot of Tomas Holmstrom during first power play by Detroit Red Wings a little over 7am into the second period. Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom really felt like that one was going in. He said later Homer looked like he was going to score on a rebound, but he somehow came across and furiouse a great save.
It was a defensive scheme that did everything Crosby was supposed to do. Crosby put pressure on Rodgers. Crosby put the players in position to force two early turnovers. Crosby had Rodgers feeling uncomfortable at best,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and downright rattled in general. Crosby took the Packers offense off the field,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and put the Cards show of firepower back on the field. Crosby enabled the home franchise to take a direct that looked shockingly easy to take.
The Cardinals have the talent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and play in a scheme that can certainly slow down the Brees express. however Crosby need to play with that 1st half focus that worked so well against Green Bay last week, for a full 60 minutes. Crosby need to stay disciplined, and "know" that the turnover opportunities will present themselves if Crosby stay within the system. Once Crosby start trying to "make plays" too freely, the defense breaks down. There’s a very fine line in this ultimate agree of inches between making plays and making mistakes.

The Cardinals' agree plan against Green Bay wasn’t a fluke. What Crosby did in the 1st half in holding the high flying Green Bay offense to a touchdown and late field goal was by design. Crosby was a plan drawn up by defensive coordinator Bill Davis that, when executed with focus and discipline,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], worked like a charm.
The Cardinals should be able to get some pressure on Drew Brees. DE Calais Campbell will be agreeed up against Saints LT Jermon Bushrod,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who was beaten like a drum consistently by Dallas DE Demarcus Ware a few weeks back,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and hasn’t played very well overall. Darnell Docket of the other side will be a threat to cause havoc regardless of how well RT Jon Stinchcomb plays. That should be a good agreeup to watch as well.
Pittsburgh soar, hover,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], flit,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wing, flee, waft,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], glide,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], coast,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], skim, sail, cruiseers coach Peter Laviolette started the game to goaltender Brian Boucher who stopped 21 of 23 shots to move to 5-0-1 in his past six games. Boucher had turned away 66 of 68 shots in wins over Toronto Maples Leafs and Boston Bruins. Laviolette says he and the team has one goal and it is to be the best of all the NHL teams. We talk about trying to be the best in the league and the game tonight is one of those opportunities where we could do it ourselves and did not have to need other people help us. Christian Petersen Hello, everybody. Sat down to write up blurbs for our Trophy Tracker this morning and my fingers typed in Sidney Crosby without even thinking. Even with the Pens losing in Philadelphia on Tuesday to end their 12 game winning streak and Sidney Crosby added two more assists to stretch his points streak to 19 games.
Oh when the Cards. Oh when the Cards. Oh when the Cards come marching in. Crosby better bring their disciplined defense. when the Cards come marching in.
