Temat postu: MLB The Heroes A new era of fantasy football Part

We vowed not to let this be the end of our Heroes. We knew we showed promise but there had to be changes and we had a whole off season to create a new game plan that would take our team to new heights. Many of our game plan and rules are what I included in my post earlier,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2010 Fantasy Football Top 50. When training camp opened up, we got back to work and we took note of everything going on around the league and felt like we had learned from our mistakes and were ready to avenge our last season.
Last season we created a comprehensive sheet of players that we felt would represent our team well. We decided to put a lot of stock in young players who were still relatively unproven. With the 6th overall pick, we selected Matt Forte then picked Steve Slaton with our 2nd round pick and Dwayne Bowe with our 3rd pick. Then in the 4th round we ended up picking our best player last season,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Wes Welker. We filled out the rest of our lineup with Jason Witten, Donovan Mcnabb, Anthony Gonzales, Darren Sproles (because our league awards points for return yardage and TDS), Steve Breaston, Felix Jones, Joey Galloway, Leon Washington, Shaun Hill, Bears D/ST, Brian Robiskie, Mark Clayton, and Joe Nedney. We were incredibly satisfied with Forte and Slaton and thought we had a solid backfield to go along with a decent receiving corps. At the end of our draft we were happy with our team and felt that we had one of the best all around teams in our league. We couldn’t be more wrong.

The NFL banned substances policy has been acclaimed by some and criticized by others, but the policy is the longest running in American professional sports,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], beginning in 1987. The current policy of the NFL suspends players without pay who test positive for banned substances as it has since 1989 4 games for the first offense eight games for a second offense, and 12 months for a third offense. The suspended games may be either regular season games or playoff games. We hoped Slaton (left) and Forte (right) would lead us to the championship. Picture courtesy of fantasyfootball.com
To Be Continued….
Last year my friend and I joined forces to create Bharath & Ketan’s Heroes, little did we know we had just forever altered the course of fantasy football. Coming together marked the beginning of a new era for both of us. We both had experienced successes on our own, and we looked to expand together. Needless to say,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we became a little full of ourselves and by the end of our 1st season we were definitely humbled. But we did not let this drive us apart and we vowed to come back next year and set this thing right.

This is just an opinion..so please Pardon My Bias.
NFL players occasionally will petition the NFL to allow them to wear a number that is not in line with the numbering system. Brad Van Pelt who is a linebacker who entered the NFL in 1973 with the New York Giants, wore number 10 during his 11 seasons with the club despite not being covered by the grandfather clause. New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush petitioned the NFL to let him keep the number 5 which he used at USC in 2006 but was later denied.
Our top 3 picks were complete busts, McNabb was hot and cold,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Sproles started hot but soon disappeared from fantasy relevance, Anthony Gonzalez hurt his knee in Week 1 and missed the entire season,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it seemed like Welker was the only player keeping our team afloat. We limped into the playoffs with a disappointing 9-5 record and we only had 7 of our original draft picks on our team. We lived and died by the waiver wire and we tried adding players that could be poised for a big week, we became desperate and picked up players like Quinton Ganther, Arian Foster, Chris Jennings,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Devone Bess, Jerome Harrisson and Fred Davis. But in the end it was not enough and we exited the playoffs in the first round with a whimper.
