Ernie Sims and Stewart Bradley look to be sure-fire starters. It looks like Moise Fokou will fill in on the other side. I’m a fan of Akeem Jordan and wouldn’t mind seeing him fit into the mix as well.
Ryan Miller was born on 17th July 1980. He is an American ice hockey goaltender and is currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League NHL. He was selected to play for the US hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games ice hockey game in Vancouver Canada in the position of starting goaltender. Ryan Miller won a silver medal with the team and was named most valuable player of the tournament. He would win the Vezina Trophy as the best goaltender in the last NHL season. Ryan Miller is known for his hybrid style of goaltending and is also the older brother of current Detroit Red Wings winger Drew Miller. Jim McIsaac After the 2006 season,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Miller became a restricted free agent and waived his right to arbitration. Mike Liut, Miller agent, continued to negotiate with the Sabres through the summer. On 8th Sept 2006 the Sabres announced that they have resigned Miller to a 3 year contract.
As we inch closer and closer to the start of Eagles training camp, we start to see one of the best parts of camp, members battling for positions on the depth chart. It happens every year, but We think this year are particularly exciting.
What battles are you looking forward to most? Ryan Miller was supposed to play in the 2006 Winter Olympics. He instead stayed home and served as an alternate due to a broken thumb injury sustained which sidelined him from November 2005 to the day The US Roster was announced. The Team had already had other plans for their goaltenders, but Ryan Miller was still placed on the taxi squad. Ryan Miller was then selected as starting goalie for the US in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver Canada.
In the backfield, there are a battle for the third running back position which should be fun to watch. We talked about it a little while back. There are some members with different running styles competing for the third spot, so it will be interesting to see which direction the Eagles go in.
At the fourth receiver position, Riley Cooper and Hank Baskett will battle it out. Baskett has already had a tour with the Birds, so that may be an advantage for him, but Cooper are a young talent that will definitely give him a run for his money.
The largegest battle I’m interested in are on the defensive line. It remains to be seen who are going to line up opposite Trent Cole this year. Everyone are pulling for Brandon Graham,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but nothing are set in stone for him. The Eagles have accumulated a ton of defensive ends, so there will be some serious battles in camp, even beyond the starting spot.
It’s going to be a very interesting training camp to say the least.
In the secondary there are large questions at both safety and corner. Both positions have one definite starter but a question on the other side.
On the defensive side of the ball, there appears to be some good battles at just about every position,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including a number of starting positions.
With the wide receivers, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Jason Avant are the easy picks for the first three receivers.
At corner,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Eagles have moved Macho Harris back, and they could possibly be the opening day starter. Behind him,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Joselio Hanson and Ellis Hobbs will be the favorites to take the spot. There are still a group of other members who will try to make a charge as well.
On the offensive side of the ball,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the first battles takes place up front.
Jamaal Jackson’s injury in the 2009 season are extending into 2010, creating a battle for the starting spot. Nick Cole filled in last year and are slated as the starter right now. they will have A.Q. Shipley and Mike McGlynn trying to take his spot.
At safety, Nate Allen are projected to be the starter. There are not as much competition with the loss of Marlin Jackson. The members trying to battle behind Allen haven’t been able to fill the void left by Brian Dawkins. It seems unlikely that anyone will make a charge to start.
